During the last 12 months, a lot has changed at Light4U. Not only in our products, but also in how we present, explain, and make them accessible to our partners and customers.
You may have already noticed the changes. A new website layout. Updated product pages. More technical information. More educational social media content. New visuals. Better drawings. New manuals. More consistent branding.
But behind all of this is something bigger. A different marketing strategy.
More than marketing
For us, marketing is not only about making products look attractive. It is about making lighting easier to understand.
Architectural and technical lighting projects often move fast. Designers, installers, distributors, and consultants need information immediately. Waiting for product files, dimensions, beam angles, or installation details slows down the process.
That is why our focus changed. We want technical information to be directly accessible. Easy to find. Easy to download. Easy to use.
In many cases, you should no longer need to ask sales for basic product data. The information are there for you.
A more technical approach
Over the last year, we shifted our communication to become more technical, structured, and practical.
- More detailed product pages
- Easier access to technical files
- Updated product photography
- Better installation manuals (example Donar family)
- Nordic Track Configurator
- Downloadable drawings and media
- Direct LDT file access
- More educational social media content
- More application-focused project references
The goal is simple: to help lighting professionals work faster and with more confidence.
The website is continuously evolving
One of the biggest changes happened on our website. The new layout focuses more on navigation, filtering, applications, and product accessibility.
Instead of only showing products, we want visitors to explore solutions and inspiration. Our project pages now include filters and application categories, making it easier to search by project type or lighting purpose.
You can browse different applications, compare solutions, and get inspired directly from completed projects.
Product pages now contain downloadable media, including product photos, technical drawings, installation manuals, datasheets, LDT files, and additional project materials.
For lighting designers and planners, this means less waiting and faster integration into projects and simulations.
And this is still developing. Many product visuals are currently being updated, and more changes are coming in the months ahead.
Partner portal and technical accessibility
We also improved accessibility for our partners through the partner portal.
Partners can download price lists, technical files, and product documentation directly. The portal also provides access to the Nordic Aluminium configurator, helping to simplify track system planning and preparation.
This means faster quotation preparation, easier configuration of track systems, and greater independence during project preparation.
Another important part of our communication is education. Through our blog, we continuously publish technical and educational articles on lighting applications, technologies, optical systems, installation, controls, efficiency, glare control, and practical project solutions.
The intention is not only to present products, but also to share knowledge and make technical lighting easier to understand.
Building a more professional corporate image
Another important part of the transition is visual consistency. We are updating the overall corporate image of Light4U to create a more professional and internationally aligned presentation.
- New graphic style
- Updated layouts
- Refined social media visuals
- Improved offline publications
- Better product renders and photography
- More consistent technical documentation
The intention is not only to look modern, but also to better reflect the technical level and quality of our luminaires.
The people behind the process
Behind every updated product page, drawing, visual, and publication is a team working continuously on development.
Rein, our graphic designer and photographer, is responsible for many of the new visuals, product photos, manuals, and social media materials. Product photography and visual consistency are currently a major focus, and many updated visuals are already in preparation.
Thijs, our digital designer, focuses on the visibility and presentation of products across the website. He is also working on new video material and digital content, which will become an increasingly important part of how we present products, technologies, and applications.
At the same time, our technical, sales and marketing teams work closely together to ensure that the information published online is not only visually attractive but also technically correct and useful in real projects.
The new showroom is on the way
Another important project currently in progress is the new Light4U showroom.
The showroom is currently under construction and will become a place where visitors can experience our luminaires in space rather than only on screen or in catalogues.
Lighting should be experienced physically. Beam angles, glare control, optics, colour temperatures, contrasts, and materials can look very different in real environments.
The new showroom will therefore become not only a presentation space, but also a working environment for inspiration, comparison, education, and future developments.
Looking forward
This transformation is still ongoing.
More products are being updated. More visuals are coming. More technical content is in preparation. More educational material is planned.
And we are still growing. We are also open to new team members who can contribute to the future direction of Light4U.
The lighting industry continues to evolve quickly. Our goal is to make information clearer, products easier to work with, and communication more valuable for professionals working with light every day.
Not only to show luminaires. But to make lighting understandable, accessible, and visible.
