From Hungary to the Netherlands
Originally from Hungary, Evi’s journey to the Netherlands has been developing over several years. What started as a feeling she could not fully describe slowly became a clear decision.
“I always felt some kind of pull to be here. At first, I couldn’t describe it, but now I can do it with just three words: I arrived home.”
Over the last five years, she has spent more and more time in the Netherlands, as her family has gradually moved here. Last year, she made the step herself and fully relocated, starting a new chapter both personally and professionally.
Adapting and growing
Moving to a new country is never just a logistical step. It also means adapting to a different culture, work environment, and way of thinking. For Evi, this was one of the biggest challenges in recent years.
Leaving everything behind required flexibility and determination. At the same time, it created an opportunity to grow and to build a new foundation.
Her professional background reflects this development. After several years working in retail, she transitioned into office-based roles, starting as an assistant in sales and finance. Over time, she developed further into a managerial role in finance and HR.
Customer focus as a constant
Across all previous roles, one element remained consistent: the focus on customer satisfaction. Even though her work was mainly connected to the healthcare industry, the daily goal was always the same.
“In all my previous roles, we worked every day to make sure customers were satisfied. That is very important to me. I want our customers to receive the kind of service that I expect for myself.”
This mindset aligns closely with the way we work at Light4U. Clear communication, reliability, and support are essential in our collaboration with partners.
Balance between focus and creativity
Outside of work, Evi finds balance in both creativity and social activities. She enjoys painting with watercolours, a process that requires patience and attention.
“It helps to slow down after a busy day and teaches you not to rush things, just to wait for the right moment to take the next step.”
At the same time, she enjoys being around people. Concerts, spontaneous plans, and social gatherings are a natural part of her life.
“If you ask me to go somewhere, I will definitely say yes.”
Weekends often include another favourite activity: board games. A mix of strategy, interaction, and fun.
Looking forward
Evi describes herself as someone who never settles for current knowledge. She is always looking for ways to grow and improve, both personally and professionally.
