Since 1 September, Ben Timmer has joined Light4U and Karizma Luce as our new Head of the Financial Department. With over 30 years of experience in finance, primarily in wholesale companies, he brings a calm, structured, and open approach to our team. As part of the management team, Ben will help steer the financial direction of both companies—time to get to know him better.
“Over the years, I’ve worked as controller and head of administration in several companies, always taking care of accounting, reporting, and keeping administration smooth and reliable. I like to simplify things and make clear overviews — for myself, for the team, and also for customers and suppliers.”
Ben started his career in finance in the early 1990s. He gained solid experience in reporting and accounting, planning and budgeting, and control and analysis — primarily at companies with a wholesale function. In every role, he combined expertise with a practical mindset, ensuring that financial structures worked for both the organisation and its partners. Now, he is ready to apply this knowledge to Light4U and Karizma Luce, supporting our growth with a solid financial foundation.
Calm and approachable

It’s not only at work where Ben values structure and calm. Recently, he and his girlfriend moved into a new home in Friesland — a fresh start that fits perfectly with his new professional chapter. “It’s been a busy period, but a very positive one,” he says with a smile.
Outside of work, Ben enjoys an active lifestyle. He enjoys biking, running, and swimming, often outdoors and sometimes even in Dutch waters. Whether training alone, going out in pairs, or being part of a group, sport is his way to recharge and stay balanced. “I enjoy being outside in nature, and I find swimming in open water especially refreshing,” he says.
