At Light4U, we constantly improve what happens behind the scenes, because every detail in production defines the quality that reaches our customers. With a larger team and a growing portfolio of luminaires, we needed a setup that could support flexibility. Each workstation can be easily adjusted for different product types, assembly steps, or tools, allowing quick reconfiguration when new luminaires or modules enter production.
A New Era in Our Assembly Line
Over the past months, we have modernised our assembly facilities to optimise workflow and support growth. With our ENEC-certified production already ensuring top safety and quality standards, this upgrade focuses on process efficiency, making the work smoother, faster, and more ergonomic for our assembly team.
From Work Tables to Modern ITEM Workstations
Our assembly lines, both I-line and U-line, have been completely refurnished, replacing traditional wooden tables with fully ergonomic ITEM workstations. Each bench now features a height-adjustable and ESD-protected surface. The system, approved by Gesunder Rücken e.V. (Healthy Back Association, Germany), helps reduce strain, improve comfort, and support healthy posture during repetitive work. It is a future-oriented setup that adapts to the operator, not the other way around.
Designed for a Smoother Production Flow
The new layout also improves material movement and logistics. Components and semi-finished luminaires now follow a smoother, more linear path through the assembly hall, reducing unnecessary handling and saving valuable time between stages.
This reorganisation supports both I-line and U-line production, making the process more balanced and efficient. Each area is now optimised for its function, from pre-assembly to final testing, ensuring clear flow and minimal bottlenecks.
Precision and Comfort with Kolver Tools
We replaced conventional screwdrivers with Kolver torque-controlled electric tools on balancers. These ensure perfect torque every time, preventing over- or under-tightening and guaranteeing consistent product quality.
Mounted on balancers, the tools now hover in the optimal position, reducing wrist strain and fatigue while keeping workstations neat and safe. This not only improves ergonomics but also increases precision and speed during repetitive assembly work.
A Safer, Cleaner, and More Efficient Environment
Every detail in the new setup serves a clear goal: a safer, cleaner, and more efficient assembly line. Suspended cables eliminate trip hazards, ESD protection secures sensitive components, and modular structures keep the workspace tidy and adaptable.
