Museum lighting must adapt to the artwork, the architecture, and the changing requirements of each exhibition. At the Museum of Contemporary Art Charters de Almeida, Light4U Weda track spotlights provide a flexible lighting solution throughout the exhibition spaces.
Different beam angles suit the scale and placement of individual artworks. Narrow beams create focused accents on smaller objects and details, while wider distributions illuminate larger works and exhibition areas. Weda with an elliptical shaper creates an elongated light distribution, allowing the light to follow the proportions of selected artworks more precisely.
For accurate colour reproduction, the project uses our Full Spectrum LED module with the highest CRI option. Full Spectrum technology produces a broader and more continuous spectral distribution across the visible wavelength range, closer to natural daylight than a conventional LED spectrum. This improves the reproduction of a wide variety of colours, including subtle differences in pigments, materials and textures.
This is particularly important in an art environment. Instead of enhancing selected colours, the aim is to reproduce the artwork as naturally and faithfully as possible. Combined with the flexibility of Weda and its different optics, Full Spectrum lighting allows each piece to be presented individually while maintaining consistent colour quality throughout the museum.
