D&A Licht captures the essence of various garden trends by expertly managing spotlight positioning and optimizing lighting intensity—a feature exemplified by Huginn R and Skadi 220 TR lighting solutions.

Setting the Mood for Every Style

At Kees Smit Tuinmeubelen, no two settings are the same. Each display creates its own atmosphere. From cozy outdoor lounges to vibrant summer dining tables, from classic to bohemian. To support this variety, D&A Licht used flexible, high-performance lighting that adapts effortlessly to every scene.

Carefully placed spotlights like the Huginn R bring out colour, texture, and detail in cushions, ceramics, and woodwork. Whether it’s the bold blue wall or the warm velvet lampshades hanging above the table, every element is picked up by precise, adjustable beams. The lighting helps create a mood that matches each collection, making the space feel alive and inviting.

Layered Light, Natural Flow

While Huginn R sets the highlights, the Skadi 220 TR ensures a balanced foundation. Part of the Skadi family, this track-mounted downlight offers soft, general illumination that ties each space together. The clean light distribution guides customers through the showroom naturally, creating comfort and orientation.

Because Kees Smit showcases such a wide range of outdoor furniture styles, flexibility was key. The lighting not only adapts in angle and intensity but also visually supports the architectural features. Choosing black fixtures for both Huginn and Skadi created visual unity and a sharp contrast with the lighter, warmer tones of the furniture.

Flexible Design That Sells the Story

Each corner of the store tells a different story, and lighting plays the leading role in how that story is experienced. By mixing spot illumination with subtle, wide-beam downlighting, this concept achieves both emotion and function. It lets the furniture shine while keeping the space bright, welcoming, and full of character.

This project shows how thoughtful lighting brings spaces to life and helps customers picture these settings in their own homes.

Thank you, D&A Licht, for the beautiful execution.
